Hailing from Kamloops, British Columbia, Greg moved to Tahoe seeking California sunshine and deep powder skiing. To Greg, a perfect day begins on snow skis with his son Liam, and ends with a beer after a singletrack ride behind his homebase in Talmont on the Westshore of Lake Tahoe. Greg has lived with his wife, Mary, in the Truckee/Tahoe area since the early 1980s when they started their company Cyclepaths and currently resides in Truckee’s Prosser neighborhood.

Cyclepaths Bikeshop originally began as a mountain bike touring company in the late 80s. Since then, Greg has helped support the freeride, and over-mountain bike genre in the North Tahoe and Truckee area. A father to two, a local bike shop owner, and a proud blind dog owner, Greg is never short of laughs and is quick to lend a strong tool hand out on the trail and in the shop. Greg is true to TDU’s positive cause and much of the community value of TDU was born from Greg’s deep search ideas.

Greg has had a hand in trail building for decades and is one of the original, founding members of TAMBA and the legendary Tahoe Fat Tire Festival. He has personally supported and sponsored many Tahoe area athletes, amateur and professional.

Greg believes TDU is the long awaited missing piece to Truckee’s mountain bike community and he hopes to help sharpen the organization's focus to add value to the missing elements.

When you rub elbows with this canuck, ask him what the last play he saw was about. Chances are it’s one written, directed, and starred in by his incredible daughter up in Ashland, Oregon. ⚡︎
