Dave Metres

Founding Member / Outreach Chair

Dave Metres is the newest member of the TDU board and rounds out the dream team by bringing an empirical and researched perspectiveto the board. Dave also knows how to crack a whip on his Transition, and can be easily identified by his echoing stoke hollers rolling down canyon walls and deep into the trees.

You can catch Dave at a majority of TDU’s rad open-air functions, coaching his daughters on the soccer field, lapping Truckee’s trails as the season percolates through its opening - and then deep on the skintrack or on KT-22 when the snow flies.

For work, Dave is an attorney practicing environmental law and litigation with Barg Coffin Lewis & Trapp, LLP.

So, when you see Dave out on the trail, introduce yourself and ask him what CEQA and NEPA stand for, and how we can work to open more Singletrack Radness in the Truckee area - because he has the answers and will help you become a more enlightened mountain bike rider. But, get it in before the drop, because he’ll be hollering his head off once the trail starts flowing.
